Journal Import Validation

Hi,

I need your advice on the below process with Journal Import validation.

Current Process:

Business team is currently uploading JEs from another system in to R12.1.3 (the file is processed, not WebADI) for the purpose to verify if it passes the import validations and get JEs created or not. Once they know the results, they are manually deleting the JEs created in GL as well as clearing Journals details that got stuck in interface due to some errors in validation (like account combination missing, or because of cross-validation rules).

New process:

I am thinking about building up a custom program that mirrors all the validation rules from standard Journal import. It would be processing the specific file and the output would show what Journals would be created and what errors would appear. But in reality no Journals would be loaded in to standard interface or Journals created eventually. Based on the report, business would know what they need to correct in the file so All the Journals could be imported successfully.
