My OEM 12c configuration fails with 'The plug-in Start Oracle Management Service has failed its perf

Operationg system or host: Suse Linux SP3

Version of OEM being configured: 12.1.0.5 (Release 5)

This is actually a 2nd attempt after the first one failed at the same step.

I used the ruInstaller tool to clean up all the directories and folders and dropped all the sysman- type users with its associated objects and tablespaces before doing the 2nd run.

All pre-requisite checks passed but the installation fails at the step "Start Oracle Management Service" step.

The failure line in the displayed log only says:

"INFO: oracle.sysman.top.oms:The plug-in Start Oracle Management Service has failed its perform method"
