Restore from 3rd party backup software /u01/app/sharedrepo VM root image

in Oracle VM (OVM) (MOSC) Question

Does anyone know of a process to restore a corrupt root image of a ODA shared repository from a 3rd party backup software like Commvault.

We don't have a acfs snap of the VM.

We have tried booting the Oracle Linux 6.7 iso by changing the vm.cfg,  This only led to the CDROM boot mounting the corrupt root image and hangs at the same error

Dracut: SELinux: Could not open the policy file<-/etc/selinux/targeted/policy/policy.28: No such file or directory

Any advice appreciated
