Ownership transfer date is not getting used as Install Date?

I tried ownership transfer in Install Base and provided a transfer date while doing that. System used transfer date correctly to terminate old and create a new warranty contract, but it failed to populate the same in Install date column. Am I missing something here.

Steps:

1) Select the Parent instance and click on update icon

2) click on 'Change Owner' button

3) Pass the new owner and location details along with new transfer date

4) Confirm the impacted contract action

5) ownership transferred with updates in contract, but Install date is still old install date

Your quick response would be highly appreciated.
