Oracle Expdp output on a network path

Hello,

Is it possible to create an oracle database directory that is not on the local file system ? for example: \\IP.IP.IP.IP\OracleDB-BKP\

Or create a mapped network drive on the OS level and redirect the export data pump output of the DB to that drive Y:\

(without having a network link with another Oracle database on the destination path)

In fact we are failing to apply the above ! Are there any workaround or special instructions to apply the above ?

Or it's just not feasible in Oracle 11g...
