Transitioning using WinTel based web servers with windows authentication

Hi,

My customer is looking for tips on how to get the F5 monitor, to access the IIS web site, and recognize that it is available, when Windows Authentication is the only authentication enabled.

They have been using Siebel on IBMIHS (apache) web servers for years and the F5 merely used a simple GET to monitor whether the web site was online or not (to determine whether to route traffic to that web server in our pool of web servers).

They have configured  IBMIHS site to force the browser to pass authentication credentials when accessing pages and also configured Eapps_sia.cfg to use this info to automatically log users into the application.  They are now transitioning to WinTel based web servers, and have successfully configured them to behave the same, but had to enable Windows Authentication to do so.  So they would like the F5 to recognize that these servers are indeed online and available, but have not yet discovered how to do so.

Howdy, Stranger!
