Issue with Developing Total Compensation Statement

I am working through the Total Compensation Statement Wizard to create a total compensation statement for our employees.  I have created my items, categories, sub-categories and staetment.  I am having some issues with amounts doubling, and I am finding it difficult to make edits.  Has anyone else had any of these issues?  I would welcome some help.
