Is there a way to create a journal category for accruals in CHRM

Our client wants to run create accounting in CHRM only for accruals. However they want to suppress any claims from getting accounted. Similarly when they run create accounting for claims they do not want any accruals from getting accounted. Is there a way to achieve this. Like maybe create a journal category for accruals and claims since these are different SLA events or any other approach?
