How can we configure the EPM components 11.1.2.4 on a mixed OS, i.e Linux plus Windows

Hi,

I am trying to build an EPM system of version 11.1.2.4 with components being Foundation, HFM, FR and FDMEE. Our plan is to build HFM on windows servers and rest of the components on linux servers. I understand that we need two weblogic domains, i.e one on windows and one on linux. However I have a few questions before proceeding on the build.

1) I believe we need to install the HFM web on both linux and windows machines. However it should neither be deployed nor db configured on linux machine. RIght? If that's the case is it the shared services database that links HFM with other EPM components?
