Spanish tax id - Número Identificación Fiscal - validation error

on accounts payable screen p04012

JDE does not accept the newest legal revision of Spanish Tax ID.

example : When entering tax ID ES097250111 in field TAX

the system throws an error

Tax ID with letter on invalid position

Cause . . . . . . A letter exists in a position other than the first or last character of the Tax ID.

Resolution . . Enter a valid Tax ID. Valid Tax IDs only contain letters in the first or last characters of the Tax ID

looks like the system is not up to date on the tax id management.

do you know how to update the system to allow it?
