Data Guard Standby ASM Space exhausted

ASM 12.1.0.2

RDBMS 12.1.0.2

I mistakenly added space to the primary database without verifying that the standby ASM had enough room.  It didn't by about 10GB.  I don't have another LUN to add over there, but reducing the size of the primary tablespace doesn't help as DG needs to apply the extend and then the reduced resize sequentially.

Is there any way out of this without adding more space?
