Number of Voting disks in 12c RAC

Hello,

We have 2 node 12C Rac and we have 2 diskgroups which are having the External Redundancy and we have placed the voting disk in the ASM diskgroup.is it true that number of the voting disk always depends on the Redundancy of ASM diskgroup? We have only one Voting disk for the Cluster and thinking to add 2 more to make to 3 voting disks for the Best practice?is it okay to have only one voting disk for the Cluster? If we need 2 more can we add the 2 voting disk to the ASM diskgroup which has External Redundancy?
