Trying to edit a report and get template fails to open

I have an interactive report with a pie chart. The report runs fine but when I try to edit it I get an error message saying opening template failed.  Looking at the bipublisher log one of the error messages I see is

[APP: bipublisher#11.1.1] Image size is exceeding the limit of 3495253 pixels.  Adjusted output to 2126 pixel * 1642 pixel in 193.27272727272725 dpi.

Any ideal of how I can set the image size?
