Is it possible to have a custom error message only apply to one profile?

I have a custom error message that overrides a standard error message and I've done this through a custom component.

However the wording in this error message will only be useful to users of one profile.

How do I have the custom message only a apply to this one profile while the standard message is used for other profiles?
