Taiwan Supplier Setup - TRN Requires 9 Digits

Hi - our business user is saying they need to enter 8 digits for the Taiwan tax registration number in Payables supplier setup, however the system is enforcing 9 digits.  Is there a setup change we can make to allow something other than 9 digits?
