Can't Delete User so Security Won't Deploy

We had a user that has left. I have tried de-provisioning him, running Drop User in EAS, and now we have just followed the instructions in document 196116.71 to remove the user from the cell_note tables. However, he still shows up on the grid in planning and my security still errs out when I try to deploy. He does still exist in the HSP_OBJECT table. I am reluctant to remove him because I have just read that any metadata that shows him as the owner will be deleted if I delete him. This user was an administrator and does still show up on some of our calc manager rules as the owner. I can create new scripts or copy them, or whatever I need to do to
