How to change Non Serialised items to Serialised

Hi All,

Can any one help on the below.

1) Already Customer had a Non Serialised item, But now he want to change it to Serialised item.

Is is possible to do? If yes please let me know the process.

2) Customer was able to see the install base yesterday, But he could not able see the same install base today.

   What could be reason for this?
