Receive Project PO into Common Inventory

We have a goal to create Project PO's with destination of Inventory, but during receiving process we'd prefer not to require Project/Task entry and instead receive into Common Inventory. Our intent is to track POET info on Purchase Orders (with destination of Inventory), but we do not have any need to track Project-related info in Inventory during receipt and beyond. As of now it seems that if you put POET info on the PO and then receive into inventory, we are forced to include Project/Task on the locator we are receiving to in Inventory.
