Pending Material Transactions - Error: Default subinventory is not defined in the destination organi

I need to clear pending transactions for a period in order to close it. However there is an error:

Default subinventory is not defined in the destination organization  Action:        Either the transfer subinventory should be populated or a default subinventory should be setup for the destination organization using the inventory forms

I searched on metalink and the only solution I see is to define the subinventory. But in the organisation that its transfered, subinventory shouldn't be defined there.

Can anyone suggest how to solve this issue please?
