mini button edit renders differently in different applications

Dear All,

Anyone faced similar issue and found any answer to it please share, I hope the question was clear.

Anyways explaining in detail:

We have configured some applets and added mini button edit type html control on to the UI.

And we two applications one is eChannel and other is power communications (eCommunications). When we open the eCommunications application and see the applet button in UI using chrome developer tools, we see a html button tag for the control, but same control in eChannel application we see a span tag with an anchor element in it.

Same behavior is seen for recent records drill down in Accounts/Quotes/Orders Home screens, some drill downs appear and sometimes we see a input text type html tag in eChannel application but no issues with eCommunications application.
