Install date update in IB creating warranties

Hi All,

A 'Repair and Return' repair order was created against a SN/instance. After receiving, repair and shipping, it created a fresh warranty line for the shipped item.

This is because of the install date has been updated with shipment date of the sales order. Hence it has created a warranty line for the SN.

This should not happen because, customer is providing warranty only for 1 year after it purchase. It has been installed at customer location 2 years back and it is not eligible for fresh warranty.

Can you please suggest how to stop updating install date when shipments like(Ship repaired) happen against an instance.
