Change in code deployed in QA -works and when deployed to PD doesnt work?

What can be the reason that the code deployed in QA works as expected, However the same code when deployed to PD was tested it did not work for P4310. I updated the Processing option to be the same for both. the Package builds and deployment had no errors. so will an update Package resolve this issue.... please advise...thanks
