Need help in reducing execution time of method

Hello All,

I have created an custom method and workflow and calling that workflow through method. When i execute that method through worksheet it is taking lot of time to complete. Can someone please let me know is there any way to reduce the execution time of the method by passing only selected input parameter ? I tried to give input as ITEM while creating the method, however it is not working/getting executed.
