installing Client and Example from Oracle 12c Disk 9 and 7 respectively

Hello, I am trying to install it in a new oracle home (different from db server OH) and I get this error. Can you please let me know if i should install in existing db OH or new location? if new location how do I resolve this error?

[INS-52001] Oracle Database Examples can only be installed into an existing Oracle Home.
