12c Database software install using a non-admin domain account.

Has anyone been able to successfully install the 12c database software (64bit for Windows server 2012 R2)?  I have been having trouble for about a week.  I am having no (good) help from Technical support on simply getting past the non-administrative account required to run services to continue with the software installation.  The latest is that it looks like I have Release 1 of the installer and there is a Release 2.  But, no help from Technical support on where to get the Release 2 version of the software.  I no longer have the restriction of having to use Oracle as the RDBMS for the particular App that I am trying to install the DB for.  I was trying to give it the benefit of the doubt without just moving to SQL Server.  But, the poor quality of technical support is making a good argument for me to make the change.   Any help or direction on getting the right resources would be much appreciated.  Thanks, Ray
