Database Performance Tuning Recommendations 10G

We have MV Refresh and Insert into Table performance issues after 10G upgrade.

Questions:

1) I see SGA_TARGET is setup to AUTO therefore (shared, large, java, db_cache) pool_size parameters are automatically sized.

Can we adjust anything? How to use V$SGA_TARGET_ADVICE for that?

2) any other initialization parameters I may adjust for our performance to fix?
