What happens to deliveries when running script wshotmup.sql? (Doc ID 1077428.1)

We recently implemented OTM in our dev instance,   Reference note Doc ID 1077428.1 includes script wshotmup.sql as a post step.  

When we do this we can see many deliveries getting updates to 'Ignore for Planning'  field  [IFP = Y].   For Non-OTM orgs subsequent orders are not marked 'ignore for planning.'     If we have deliveries from before and after script update and we want to group them together in one delivery we cannot.    Until old orders are shipped this might have negative result in non-OTM orgs

has anyone else encountered issue with wshotmup.sql?
