sql plan directives

Hi

I have one query running long in 12.1.0.2 database, which is quick in 11.2.0.3

there is a plan difference between these two databases, Addoitionaly i see dynamic stats & sql plan directives are used in 12c database, although my table stats are uptodate,  can i permanently disable sql plan directives?
