Missing Employees from Payroll

Is there a way to enter employees timecards in Speed Time Entry after you have run the prepayroll process, and they were excluded (they are not included in the current locked group of employees for the payroll I am working on).  I thought I could enter them in the speed time entry, and then they would be picked up when I run a changes only, or do I have to reset prepayroll in order to pick them up?  Anyone have any experience with this?  Thank You.
