Can legal entity identifier and tax numbers be changed on legal entity setup?

Hello Community.  We are on R12.1.3 and will be creating new legal entities and ledgers for our Switzerland and Netherland operations.  Initially, we will only be recording GL transactions but will eventually be using subledgers for our Switzerland operations.  My question is can the legal entity identifier and/or tax# (CH# for Switzerland and KVK# for Netherlands) be changed after creating the legal entities?  Since we have not registered for VAT yet for these two countries, we don't have VAT#'s to use on the setups so will have to use a 'dummy' number.
