LDAP 9.2 Tools Release

Hi ,

As I read through the documents and webcast on LDAP ,long user ID enabled in 9.2.x Tools release and require a small clarification

Does this long user ID gets supported only if you are apps and tools release 9.2 or will this work with apps 9.1.2 and migrating to 9.2.x Level from 9.1.4.4
