How to prevent using item before one month of expiry

Dear All,

We are using oracle EBS R.12.1.2; db;11.1.0.7.

Quality department is asking how to prevent lot controlled inventory item to be used in transactions before one month of it's expiry; default behavior is that when lot is expired system automatically stop using it in many transactions (Production, Sales Orders...)

Example

Lot                Expiry Date

EX001          29/5/2017;

We need system automatically to stop using it from 29/4/2017.

Is this applicable and how?
