User Overrides: Grid formats

We are testing 9.2.

I have a user whose name has changed. Old user ID is SJONES; new user ID is SSMITH.

I copied all the user overrides associated with SJONES over to SSMITH.

I can inquire on them in the User Overrides screen, but Susie can't see them when she logs in with her new role.

Is there any cache that has to be cleared after this type of change?

Is there a mass way of doing this? I clicked them all, but then had to type in the new User ID for each one and accept it.
