Manual Asset Number & Data Conversion

HI,

I would like to know if i set the Starting Asset Number in System Controls as 10000. Then i convert 8000 assets from legacy system by manually assigning #1-8000 to each new asset, what will happens to the Last Asset Number Used count? Will it still be 10000 ? or will it become 18000, such that my next new automatically assigned asset number will become 180001.
