FTI results export - file size limitations

When I export the results of an FTI ad-hoc query, the file size seems to be limited.  For an export to Excel 2007+, I receive an error if the results are fairly large.  If I export the same results to csv, tab delimited, or even .mht format, only 2,500 rows are in the exported file.  I can see all rows in the FTI results, for example 3,305 rows.  There doesn't seem to be a problem displaying them.  Only with the export to a file feature.
