Viewing Pay Advices from Home

Hi,

We are looking at implementing Self Service, with Pay Advices as one of our first things to roll out to employees.
We have a diverse workforce, with many employees located across the city without access to a computer and printer. We were hoping that they could access EBS from home and view their pay advices from their home computers. However, if I understand correctly, they would need a way to authenticate to our network and EBS application (on-premise) via VPN or Citrix.
Is there another solution out there that does not require these employees VPN/Citrix accounts?
