Attention: To align with new corporate security policies, and to match policies adopted by other communities within Oracle, the My Oracle Support Community access requirements will change beginning September 18, 2025. MOSC will now require that member accounts in our community be associated to a *corporate* email address. 12.1.3 move to new servers and change host/domain name

We are moving our EBS environment from RHEL5 to RHEL7 and have already moved our Dev/Test servers.

The current configuration is a db server and an app server and that will remain the same.

When creating my new RHEL7 servers I have referred to guide on the packages needed and sysctl settings etc. (Doc ID 761566.1)

Then my high-level steps are:

- copy RDBMS app tier to new server and run adcfgclone dbTechStack to setup new environment

- run rman to copy the prod database and restore it as say test

- run adcfgclone dbconfig along with a number of other steps to alter the environment as required to reflect a new instance
