Automated Consolidations

I'm curious as to how other organizations are handling automated consolidations?  At our company we use Cognos Command Center to copy data around, process data through FDM, consolidate data in HFM and send emails.  The new version of Cognos for HFM 11.1.2.4 is missing some key pieces so we're asking the question what are other organizations doing in terms of an automated consolidation process.

I appreciate any comments you are willing to share.
