Change part job from Tech Portal
For refurbished job to be created, we need to go to the Create repair job form from the Depot Repair Work Bench. There we create job on a new item with Change part option. That, upon completion of the job, transfer the new item number to the defective instance number, which is now repaired. All good.
But what if the business wants the technician to use the service codes to generate the job from the tech portal, with the change part feature? There is no place in tech portal where the technician can mention whether to change part/serial number etc. If they select a service code and generate job, it creates the job on the original item, not on the upgraded item. Please advise.
