Change Period Dimension to Shared

Hi,

I'm trying to add Fiscal reporting to our HFM application and would like to add a new rollup of quarters with shared members for Q1 being Nov, Dec, Jan.

The application we currently utilize has a Period dimension set to (Local) which will not accept any shared members or updates.

Is there a way to change the Period Dimension to be shared or do I need to create a new application and change that from the start? [Unfortunately can't remember how to do that from the last refresher course]

Any tips, comments, etc would be appreciated!
