Passig segment from CHILD to PARENT configured item

Hi all,

I have a parent configured item with a child configured item. I need to pass a value from  segment 10000 of the CHILD to calculated segment 10000 of the PARENT. I created a C rule like this:

* 10000 EQ 10000=PARENT=

Unfortunately it is not working. The only formula that works is passing the segment from parent to child. Do you know why it happens? Maybe it is not possible to pass segment from CHILD to PARENT?
