How to default zero cost for newly created items

Hi,

We have a scenario where items are created and its stock is received into inventory thru RMA process. The cost of these items are to be valued as zero in the system and the same stock will be issued to the Batch WIP issue and Product will be generated. Since the cost of the item is not available we are getting error in Actual Cost processing and in Pre-processor. To avoid this error, users are setting the cost of the item as zero thru Actual Cost Adjustments.

I would like to know if an item is created, is there any option to configure so that system considers its cost as zero in the current period.
