Hide buttons from a workflow notification (Test email notifications)

Hi

We have a requirement to customize AP Invoice workflow notification to hide all the actions buttons on the email notification. I did some research and added an attribute 'WFM_OPEN_MAIL as per a doc on Oracle support. Now, I am trying to test this but not sure how to view the email notification from backend without turning on the email notifier. Our business rules strictly prohibit us from having email notifiers turned on in non-prod sessions. I am able to  view the HTML version from status monitor window but not sure where to view the email notification. Any help would be
