VLT Calculation in Master Item

Hi -

I want to know the standard functionality for calculating Variable lead time in ASCP.

For example if I record the resource usage data like this in x routing:

Process Quantity: 12 Each

Usage: 1

Count: 12

What is happening in my case, the lead time (for 1 Each per 1 Day ) is calculated like this [(1/12)/24 ] .. Regardless to the count.

To find this value   0.003472 in VLT Field in master item .

Is this the standard functionality? And what if I need to include the count into the equation.

Also please advise , what is the best practise with packaging labours , assuming that 1 worker can produce 10 cartons per 1 hour  ..if i inserted these as my usage in packaging step , will lead to calculating that i need 1000 hour to produce 10,000 Carton , and considering this our actual lead time is a huge mistake , because of course there are tens of workers working at the same time !!
