Can I migrate a 12.1 RDBMS to 12.2 while keeping my GI 12.1?

Hi,

Sorry if the question is trivial. We have an environnement with GI 12.1 installed just for the ASM part (no RAC). On this environnement, I have 12.1 Databases using ASM and I'd like to migrate only these to 12.2, not GI. I feel the good practice is to have Gi at the top version, and the DBs at the same version or lower. Is it still possible to migrate a DB to 12.2 while its GI is 12.1?
