Remote database connection failing when protocol=beq

Hello,

I have a windows based workstation with the Oracle client installed on it.  The tns_admin variable is set to a folder on a file server with the tnsnames.ora file that I want to use with the protocol=TCP.  The connections from my app work correctly most of the time but sometimes I get timeouts on my workstation.  I turned on the client side sqlnet.ora trace at the user level and this is the message that comes with the failure.

Fatal NI connect error 12560, connecting to:

(DESCRIPTION=(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=BEQ)(PROGRAM=oracle)(ARGV0=oracleORCL)(ARGS='(DESCRIPTION=(LOCAL=YES)(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=beq)))'))(CONNECT_DATA=(SID=ORCL)(CID=(PROGRAM=\\seth\senior\CStore\cspos.exe)(HOST=MARIANNEZI)(USER=mzimmer))))

Howdy, Stranger!
