How to use expense items for LCM related Inventory Organizations?

Dear All Experts,

We are on R.12.2.5 version of ebs and using LCM. Now as we know that its not possible to use expense items for LCM related Organization. mentioned are my some questions:

1) Why system is not allowing us? what is the logic behind expense items are not using for expense items?

2) What will be the workaround for those expense items? How to receive expense items in LCM Inventory Orgs?

Please help me out to get above answers and let us know the current status of this enhancement / bug for expense items can not use for LCM.
