IV version do they need delpoyment

User only created a new version only in PD env for P0400047. I read docs which states that IV versions created automatically saves on the server and no deployment is necessary. Please can you confirm if this is correct. so do we have 2 options: 1. to create an omw project and create a new version and have this promoted from DV to PD. or Can we go to each test env and create Version for P0400047...please advise
