Multiple UPC's for the same part

I have a client that uses the drop ship sales order process, primarily.  Their parts contain their own UPCs but they have need to track the vendor's UPC in as well.  There could be multiple vendors for the same part, each with their own UPC.  Has anyone run across this scenario?  I'm assuming it happens quite frequently in retail.  What  was the solution you observed?  I'm looking for ways to accomplish this without modify EnterpriseOne.
