Revaluation calculation

Can anyone help me in calculating the revaluation amount for an account for a specific currency.

I m trying to use below formula:

Opening balance - [{(Entered dr - Entered Cr)*Forex Rate}-(Accounted dr-Accounted Cr)]=  +/- revaluation amount

problem I am facing is in calculating the opening balance for a month.

Let me know the step in calculating the revaluation amount.
